|Taking imperfect action on my journey to be the greatest version of myself. I am embarking upon the greatest era of my life. My beautiful era. This is my time; or in French, ma belleepoque.|
Hi, my name is Anne and I ask myself this question daily. Instead of letting the questions float around the confines of my head, I’ve decided to share my journey with you here. I’ve done and seen so much in the short time I’ve been on this earth, but I’ve just embarked on the decade of my 40s and things are shifting. I feel them moving. I’ve spent time in various careers, but easily my greatest achievement has been having and raising my two children. I left my job in nonprofits to take care of them nearly ten years ago. They are now teenagers and soon I will see them leave the nest. I have been their tireless caretaker for so long. What I’ve realized of late is that I’ve been taking care of others for so long that I am having to learn to take care of myself all over again. So here I am, writing. Learning to find myself. Letting go of perfectionism. Taking imperfect action on my journey to be the greatest version of myself. I am embarking upon the greatest era of my life. My beautiful era.
This is my time; or in French, ma belleepoque.
Here I will share all of the things that I love–the things that light me up. And in doing so I hope that you will be able to find those things for yourself, because no matter where you are on your path, this can be the most beautiful time in your life also. Some of my interests that I will be writing about include holistic health, fitness, non-dogmatic nutrition, suburban homesteading practices, recipes, food and cooking, psychology and finding purpose and meaning in life, the universe and manifestation/metaphysics, family, natural beauty/products ,my sweet puppy (who is 9 years old now) and finding balance, peace and happiness. It’s taken a lot for me to get to this point and if you’ve read this far please know that I appreciate you. I look forward to having you on this journey with me and seeing the beautiful things we can create together. Because whether you know it or not, you are taking part in everything that you see here on this blog–this is yours as well as mine. We are all cocreators in the magic that is this world.
With that, I will “see” you all again soon. A teut a l’heure, my friends!
